Curriculum Roll-out Plan Examples

Below are some examples of roll-out plans, which demonstrate how you can expect your homeschooling to unfold over the years for Grades 00 - Grade 9, using Love2Learn Curriculum.
Thereafter, we offer support for the prestigious British IGCSE (Grades 10 & 11) and ultimately AS-Levels (Grade 12) - a recognised school-leaving qualification with university exemption, via our separate division - Imperial International College - Online Education for High School.

We trust this will give you some perspective for your homeschooling journey, going forward.

1. One Child only

Based on homeschooling one child from Grade 0 - AS-Level (Grade 12) using Love2Learn, we would recommend that you consider ordering one of the following two options to start:

OPTION 1:
Grade 0 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + CORE PACKAGE 5 - 7 Years

OPTION 2:
Grade 0 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + select subjects from our CORE 0 STUDIES

Below is a proposed Curriculum roll-out plan - based on the above recommendations - which will give you some perspective for the journey ahead:

a Cambridge does not offer an Examination sitting in May/June for Afrikaans; consequently this Subject will need to be written in the Oct/Nov sitting of that same year.

2. Two Children

Two children on separate grade levels completely

Based on homeschooling two children on different grades - one in Grade 8 and one in Grade 5 - using Love2Learn, we would recommend that you consider ordering one of the following two options to start:

OPTION 1:
Grade 8 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + CORE PACKAGE 13 - 15 Years for the older child.
Grade 5 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + CORE PACKAGE 10 - 12 Years for the younger child

OPTION 2:
Grade 8 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + select subjects from our CORE 6 STUDIES for older child.
Grade 5 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + select subjects from our CORE 3 STUDIES for younger child.

Below is a proposed Curriculum roll-out plan - and based on the above recommendations - which will give you some perspective for the journey ahead:

* Note: You are able to amortise your costs and save because the younger sibling can use the older sibling’s resources later. You would need to order just the “Extra Consumable Workbooks” (where applicable), or if the subject comprises textbooks in its entirety, then you do not need to reorder that subject again – resulting in a significant cost-saving as you proceed down the years of homeschooling more than one child.
The same could apply to any IGCSE and AS-Level subject resources (excluding Tutor Support), assuming:
1. There’s no change to the Cambridge syllabus.
2. The younger child take the same subjects as their older sibling.

a Cambridge does not offer an Examination sitting in May/June for Afrikaans; consequently this Subject will need to be written in the Oct/Nov sitting of that same year.

3. Three Children

EXAMPLE 1: Combining the two older children:

In this example, the family has children are in Grade 5, Grade 4 and Grade 1 respectively.
In this instance, we would advocate combining the Grade 5 and Grade 4 children together on one CORE PACKAGE or one CORE STUDIES level, whilst letting the youngest child continue on their own, more junior CORE PACKAGE or CORE STUDIES level; and we would recommend that you consider ordering one of the following two options to start:

OPTION 1:
Grade 5 DISCIPLINE STUDIES for the oldest child
Grade 4 DISCIPLINE STUDIES for the middle child
+ CORE PACKAGE 10 – 12 Years for them to share!

Grade 1 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + CORE PACKAGE 7 - 9 Years for the youngest child

OPTION 2:
Grade 5 DISCIPLINE STUDIES for the oldest child
Grade 4 DISCIPLINE STUDIES for the middle child
+ select subjects from our CORE 3 STUDIES for them to share!

Grade 1 DISCIPLINE STUDIES + select subjects from our CORE 1 STUDIES for the youngest child.

Testimonials

  • "Our homeschooling journey is a tremendous blessing to us as a family and as individuals. I cannot describe in words how much it has done for us. Thank you for your faith, dedication, and hard work, for Almighty God to have such impact within families. We are so grateful and thankful for this opportunity!"
    Noéla (Windhoek, Namibia)
  • "Sarah has been doing so well with L2L. My husband and I run a business from home and sometimes we have to exchange roles and have turns facilitating our daughter. The awesome part about using the L2L curriculum is that my husband and I can slot in at any stage without an explanation."
    Michelle P. (Cape Town)
  • "I love using your books in my home school group. I would recommend it to any one!"
    Michelle F. (Zimbabwe)
  • "It is now 4 years... and my trust in Love2Learn's guidance and curriculum has grown.  I cross paths with a lot of homeschooling moms from other countries and when they discuss their curriculums and what they are doing I am so blessed by the peace and contentment I feel about the curriculum I have chosen. I have seen my very active, social son become an independent learner who wants to work things out on his own, who has finally learnt the art of paying attention, and who has become very comfortable narrating back both orally and written."
    Shirley (Sumatra, Indonesia)
  • "We received our books yesterday and am blown away by the quality resources you have been able to supply. My daughter is on camp right now but I cannot wait to show her the treasures that await!"
    Melody (W. Cape, SA)
