"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. " - Joshua 24:15

The hallmark of an educated person

Charlotte Mason said that education is the habit of attention; and the hallmark of an educated person is someone who can pay attention.
This similarly implies the ability to retain knowledge for very long periods of time.
The ability to retain what you learn is key to education.

Learning to pay attention is not necessarily something that we are born with... it is a skill which needs to be carefully, patiently and lovingly developed; and honed over many years!

One of Charlotte Mason’s main pillars of education is the concept of education being a discipline. And she inferred this to mean the discipline of habits.
One of these habits to be formed is the habit of paying attention.

Love2Learn Curriculum considers NARRATION foundational! Consequently, in order to support you in making this a daily habit, narration is systematically included in every lesson!

Testimonials

  • "I would like to express to you all that we as a family are truly grateful for the curriculum Ivana and the team have put together.  When the Lord told me to home-school Cayleb, I did not even know what it meant.  I went to find out,  came upon the L2L Saturday morning seminar,  and knew immediately that was it.  We have been with L2L since grade 3 and intend to continue through to Grade 12.How amazing God is!!  He showed me, and we have not turned back!!  The more I hear of schools elsewhere, the more I know it was indeed His doing. Cayleb too is very happy homeschooling and has no desire to change it. We are exceedingly grateful. THANK YOU ALL FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!  May the Father bless you richly for being diligent and bold to step out in faith as He leads."

  • "(My daughter) received her IGCSE results… She took 7 subjects, 5 of them using Love2Learn. We are delighted with her marks. For the subjects she did through Love2Learn, she got 3x A's & 2x A*."

  • "It is now 4 years... and my trust in Love2Learn's guidance and curriculum has grown.  I cross paths with a lot of homeschooling moms from other countries and when they discuss their curriculums and what they are doing I am so blessed by the peace and contentment I feel about the curriculum I have chosen. I have seen my very active, social son become an independent learner who wants to work things out on his own, who has finally learnt the art of paying attention, and who has become very comfortable narrating back both orally and written."

  • "…(our son) is absolutely thriving on Love2Learn… The discipline and yet freedom this curriculum brings is so suited to (us)… the lessons are set out in such a way that he is managing well and so keen to keep moving forward. Thank you Love2Learn team for such an amazing foundation - I just wish that every parent could homeschool the Love2Learn way!"
